God Has Not Forgotten You
We are living at a very troublesome time. Many Christians are becoming distraught in the face of worsening situations. Some are actually turning from their faith, sinking into depression, and resorting to alcohol or drugs to get through their overwhelming feelings of fear. But God must be our refuge. Only He can bring complete peace in the midst of despair and hopelessness. We must hold onto Him firmly in the time we are now experiencing, a time such as this ––
God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging (Psalm 46:1-3).
Do not let temporary heartache, setbacks, or other inconveniences defeat you in this temporary world. Keep your eyes on the world to come, our heavenly home, where there will be no more tears, no more sorrow, no more sickness, and no more death (Revelation 21:4). Remember: God may seem to be silent in your life at this time, but He has not forgotten you.
