Maxwell Air Force Base and Fort Meade
Bill Rudge’s ministry at Maxwell Air Force Base in Alabama and Fort Meade in the Washington D.C. area was very fruitful. Bill spoke five times at Maxwell Air Force Base, and twice at Fort Meade. He has been asked to return to both these bases for future ministry.
A special thanks to Major Doug Mastriano, his wife Rebbie, and son Josiah for hosting Bill and Karen at Maxwell A.F.B. for a week of ministry. Also, we would like to express appreciation to Petty Officer First Class Joseph Ravitts, U.S.N. and his wife Mary for hosting Bill and Karen at Fort Meade.
Major Mastriano wrote the following concerning Bill’s ministry to a Camp Pendleton chaplain who plans to have Bill minister there:
“Bill Rudge has been a part of the US Army chapel system for quite some time. It started in 1990 – when he spoke at the Furth military chapel at Darby Kaserne in Nuremberg, Germany. Since then, he has been involved with chapels in Korea, Presidio of Monterey, Fort Stewart (3rd Infantry Division’s Vale Chapel, etc.). Every time that he has preached on base I am astounded by the response from the military and family members – a definite compliment to your military outreach. His ministry is based out of Pennsylvania and has an interdenominational board of advisers. The bottom line – doctrinally sound outreach with the mission of reaching the world for Jesus Christ. You will not regret having him on base. Many chaplains can testify of his impact.”
Bill’s first engagement at Fort Meade was to speak for thirty minutes to a Sunday School class which included many people from different countries throughout the world. It went so well that they asked him to continue for an hour. At Maxwell Air Force Base Bill had the opportunity to speak on God’s Boot Camp to Officer Trainees (cadets) who were in the midst of tough training and near the breaking point mentally. Bill also spoke on The Last Days and Reaching Your Maximum Potential in Christ.
God is opening many unique ministry opportunities for Bill at military bases. Please pray the Lord will continue to open doors and bring forth fruit to His glory.
